In addition to TASO Kimmo Tullila has conducted the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tampere Chamber Orchestra, Vaasa City Orchestra, Seinäjoki City Orchestra and Pori Sinfonietta and visited the Young Symphony Orchestra of Kharkov in Ukraine. He has also served as assistant to Atso Almila in Leevi Madetoja’s opera ’Pohjalaisia’ at the Ilmajoki opera festival and taught a conducting course at Pirkanmaa University of Applied Sciences.
